Women Only Thai Boxing Courses


These courses are designed for women who want to learn this fantastic sport but feel they are not ready to take part in a mixed group class. The course aims to develop their confidence by giving them the skills they need to be fully prepared for training in our beginner group classes. You don’t have to be physically fit to enrol as it can be modified to individuals needs. You will be part of a small private group (min. 6, max. 12) and be able to progress at your own pace and feel comfortable in the friendly and supportive environment.

These courses are delivered in 6 one hour sessions and teaches you the techniques and skills of modern MuayThai (Thai-Boxing). In each one hour session you will explore different techniques and skills, learning how to punch, kick, knee and elbow and will have the opportunity to use punch bags, Thai pads, focus mitts and BOB (our realistic dummy).  You can wear clothes you feel comfortable in and you will train in bare feet. You can expect to sweat a bit, have loads of laughs and learn to do things you’ll be surprised you can do.

The course is delivered by Trix March who runs the gym with her partner and Chief Instructor Mick Mullaney. Trix is a senior Instructor at the gym and is former World, European, Commonwealth and 2 x British Thai-Boxing champion. She also lectures in Sport Science and Physical Education and has nearly 20 years teaching/coaching experience in Thai Boxing.
