Sheffield

The gym supports a few local charities on a regular basis such as Sheffield Rough Sleepers Services, the Archer Project and Ben’s Charity. Donations of clothing and food are brought in by our members and forwarded onto the relevant charity. We also occasionally fundraise for these charities by holding in-house events that our members support.

Thailand

The gym currently sponsors a young boy in Northern Thailand through the charity Plan International. This involves monthly financial contributions to help support the child and family through education and health initiatives within the local community. There is an information pack in reception that outlines who, where and how the sponsorship programme works.

In 2019 Trix organised a 12 hour junior sparring event to raise funds for Rambaa Somdets Muay Thai Camp in Pattaya in Thailand. This camp works with street children and children from very poor rural areas and provides accommodation, food and schooling as well as free tuition to learn their precious art of Muay Thai. The gym raised £380 which Trix took to Thailand and present Rambaa with the funds. Only days later the gym had a new toilet, shower and changing room block for the kids to enjoy.

Cambodia

Trix supports a local charity near Siem Reap called Smiles of Angkor Childrens Village. She was introduced to Kim who is a teacher and guide whilst on her charity bike ride from Vietnam to Cambodia in 2012. He works effortlessly to provide education for children in the poorest of areas around Siem Reap. From a very poor background himself he and his wife are committed to building schools and providing them with safe clean drinking water, food and educational resources. Trix has donated more than £3,000.00 to date which has helped to dig new water holes and towers, provide bikes for children who have to walk over 5 miles each way to school and help with buying second hand PCs and books.
