Yusuf got a tough draw in the quarter finals. A scrappy awkward but effective Polish fighter, but Yusuf coped very well and looked the better more technical fighter scoring with cleaner more accurate shots. It was very close and could've gone either way but he lost on points so unlucky.
Adnan got the Ukrainian lad who was a bit smaller but very fast. Adnan was nervous in the first round and gave it away. He wasn't better than him so after a telling off in the corner he came out a different fighter and won the second and third which put him through to the final.
Daniel was also very nervous and he blasted his way through the first round and then was well and truly knackered. With encouragement to keep calm and measured and keep going he managed to keep ahead all the way. So through to the final.
Jack, a lad from Unity Gym in Durham won his first bout convincingly. His semi final was a tough fight with his opponent being a bit of a spoiler and Jack struggled in first two rounds to dominate but then had an excellent third round so just lost on points.
All the lads fought very well and gave 100%.
Good luck to Daniel and Adnan in the finals today.
