IFMA European Amateur Championships Paris 2026. Day 1 results yesterday. Roo won his first fight on points every round sending him through to the quarter finals today. He fights the current Senior World Champion <71kg Alin Secrieru from Moldova. Other results from the GB team yesterday: Alex unfortunately was retired in the first round due to a persistent nose bleed. Dan lost on points in a close tough bout. Day 2 today. Roo Roman and Riley arrived safe in Paris yesterday and met with the rest of Team GB. Today is the first day and there are three lads fighting from the GB team, Roo, Dan and Alex. Our Roo is fighting against a Polish lad who was Bronze medallist in the World Championships. They are on in Ring C on bout No 4. Roo's category is the U24yr <71kg. Team Sparring 02.03.26 Our next Team Sparring event will be on Friday 2nd October. This is an in house event for any graded student who wants to test their sparring skills out. Participants will be matched on weight and experience or you can choose your own partner. WOW WOW WOW what an amazing night!!! It was a long busy day, 12 hours, 9 fighters and a lot of stairs!!! My old knees and back are feeling it this morning. I was too busy all day to process what was happening, wrapping the fighters hands, making sure they were massaged, warmed up and well prepared for their fight it didn't really sink in until I got home about 1am how special the evening was. My heart was filled and bursting with pride, I literally cried on the way home. This

So whilst coaching the beginners sparring class last night I get a call at 7.30pm "the night before the show" from the promoter to say the Italian fighter who's here to fight Roo (the main event) doesn't want to fight A class Muay Thai rules against him!!! The fight has been arranged, confirmed and agreed on for two months!!! They decided this once they arrived in the UK!!!!..... just changed their mind and said we won't fight elbows or clinch......
