A mixed bag of results on Saturday.
Adnan khan fought kyo (Rough House Gym). Adnan started really well with high work rate and good foot work he used his kicks and teep very well giving him the first two rounds. Kyo came out in the third round determined to win back the points. He stepped up the pace showing more aggression and strong technics which he continued to do in the forth and fifth round giving him the win on points . A good learning fight for Adnan teaching him that if you're ahead you still need to keep working to stay a head.
Adam Croydon fought cristian (Doctores Gym). This was Adam's first fight (66kg) and probably a bit too heavy for him . It was a good bout with both fighters showing good technical skill but Adam's work rate was higher,he used his teep affectively and scored really well with body kicks . In the later rounds Adam used his clinch really well scoring more with the knees and looking like the dominant boxer . A good strong win for Adam for his first fight .
Kyle Wake fought Aiden (K-Star Sheldon). This was Kyle's first fight and at 38 years old was a difficult one to match. Aidan, the more experienced boxer (with Kickboxing fights) was extremely strong with his hands and took control of the first round from the outset. Kyle used his footwork well and scored with leg kicks but Aiden was too strong and was relentless with his hands catchintoog Kyle at the end of the first round with a strong left hook. Kyle continued to land good leg kicks but it was obvious that Aiden was determined with his punches and caught Kyle midway with a strong combination. Kyle took an eight count and bravely continued but it was obvious he wasn't fully recovered and after another attack I decided to retire Kyle for his own safety. A very unfortunate outcome for Kyle. He trained super hard and really enjoyed the fight camp process.
