Roman fought tonight (Tuesday) against an Italian fighter called Riccardo.

The fight was matched at 63kg with no weighin so both fighters were over!!

We thought Riccardo would come out fast and strong and Roman was ready for that .... but he didn't!!

Roman took control immediately scoring with strong jabs and landing some great body kicks. He landed a lovely jab cross combination which put Riccardo on the back foot and didn't get much chance to throw much back. Roman continued to work well with strong punches and kicks and 1 minute 32 seconds into the first round landed a perfectly timed step through left knee to the body dropping Riccardo to the canvas and was counted out. A great KO win and a fantastic first time performance in Thailand by Roman.

WickerCamp has had 4 fighters competing in Thailand and four wins (3 official wins 1 no contest but a win)🥳.

I have overwhelming pride for all our fighters who worked so hard preparing at WickerCamp prior to the teip and continued to work very hard here.

A massive thank you to MaeNam MuayThai once again (owner M and padmen N and Bon) who guide our fighters so well whilst training here. They are so welcoming, kind and honest and this is like a home away from home.
